Off- piste

« Leave the beaten tracks behind… Â»

Considered the secret gem of the Tarentaise valley, the resort of Ste Foy is known for its unrivaled off-piste.

Ste Foy boasts a vast selection of off-piste itineraries with something to suit all levels including the North face of the Folliettaz, one of the best off-piste runs in the Tarentaise.

In our opinion a day’s off-piste skiing in Ste Foy Tarentaise really is something special. When other resorts are becoming tracked out, more often than not in Ste Foy there’ll still be some powder to be found & that spot of fresh snow just waiting to be discovered.

Whichever resort you are staying in come join us for the day in Ste Foy.

North Face Folliettaz : One of the most protected faces in the Haute Tarentaise, it provides a long descent, a wide choice of itineraries, powder snow during the winter months & an atmosphere unique to the Haute Tarentaise. The access involves a 45mins – 1hr walk up the ridge from the top of the Aiguille chairlift & finishes in the forest after approx.2000m of downhill. Level required – Experienced off-piste skiers only.

L’Echaillon : A wonderfuly wild, & unexplored itinerary, where one will often catch a glimse of Chamoix & Bouquetins. Approx. 1100m of descent down a relatively steep couloir allowing you to finish in Ste Foy station. Level required – Experienced off-piste skiers only.

Le Monal : A picturesque & long off-piste tour which passes through the old village of « Le Monal Â» with stunning sceneries, views of neighbouring glaciers etc. the trip will finish up at « Les Pigettes, Â» after approx. 1250m of descent.  Level required – Accessible to relatively novice off-piste skiers.

Col du Granier : The Col is accessed by traversing round the mountain for approx. 30mins from the top of the Aiguille chairlift where it then joins up with some of the wonderful open faces situated towards the bottom of the Fogliettaz.  Approx. 1650m of descent which, subject to snow conditions, will finish in Sainte Foy Villlage. Level required – Intermediate off-piste skiers.
